“I have been going to see Dr Steinle for the last 4 years. I am an active runner and always looking for an adventure, but my body doesn’t always agree with my mind when I decide on a crazy race to run. Dr Steinle has helped my body to be as active as my mind wants it to be. Dr Steinle always ask what run I have coming up and he will always adjust me before the race and then after the race.

In April I was scrolling through races looking for one that would be “fun” to run and I came across the Telluride Mountain Run. Looked like it would be a challenge and I’m always up for a challenge. On August 25th 2018 I ran that race and I can honestly say it was the most difficult race I ever did. There were so many times I wanted to give up. The race was on Telluride ski hill. It started at 8000 ft and went up to 13200 ft. That was a 5000 ft elevation gain in about 6 miles. The trail just kept going up. We finally got to a section that went downhill for about half a mile but you couldn’t run it because the rocks were so loose. This was a short break before the uphill hell. Straight up the mountain. There were rope holds to help pull yourself up to the summit. Mile 6 took me 54 minutes and mile 7 took me 49 minutes. It was ridiculous but I did it. I made it to the top and the view was spectacular. Then came the downhill. The first mile downhill was so steep that again I had to use ropes to get down. Then the real running began. The downhill was nice but by far not easy. Matt, my husband, met up with me at mile 12.5 and ran the rest of the race in with me. I finished in 5 hours and 12 minutes. I finished 16th out of 27 runners and 5th out of 14 women. What an accomplishment. “Sometimes you just do things.” Scott Jurek(Ultra marathon runner).

This race would have been even more difficult without the help of Dr Steinle. Not only was my back adjusted but my problem area knees felt great. And the after race adjustment was amazing. Thank you Dr Steinle and the staff at Health and Harmony Chiropractic Center for helping me tackle the mountain.”
